I've spent the last six months seeing Kathryn, in preparation for retiring Mirage. Today she asked if i had explained to Mirage what is going on this week. "No."
I have been loving her up but haven't talked to her.
We began the conversation.
She was anxious and biting my nose, licking my mouth and swaddling my body as I tried to talk :)
Kathryn said memorize every hair on her body! Nothing else matters. Etch her body and every inch of her on your mind.
Such a sad yet delicious homework assignment!
She's sleepy tonight, me too! Why are emotions so exhausting?

- My name is Suzy. My first guide dog was Mirage, she retired to Mari in February 2013. Pilgrim is my second guide dog. We are graduates of Guide Dogs for the Blind.I have a progressive degenerative genetic eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa and I see as if through a keyhole. I am thankful for my remaining eyesight. I appreciate the companionship and mobility Mirage and Pilgrim bring to my life.
